Spoken word pieces are performed with the artists hands tied behind their back, and wearing a blindfold. No body language or eye communication is permitted between viewer and audience. Why the blindfold? Simply because I need to look within. Like a VR headset the blindfold puts me into another dimension, acting like an inner reality headset, and removing me from the outside world. It is a shield from the firing squad of others, enabling me to be solely with my own consciousness - playing a game like a child does - if I cant see you, then you cant see me.
