Synopsis
Just as in life you are drawn to things without always knowing the bigger picture, I recorded these images and words randomly as I explored and experimented with the concept of manifesting, without fully realising it was become the piece ‘learning to manifest’. The concept behind this piece is based on the purported ability that we have to create our own reality. In physics electrons and photons are diffuse fields of energy - in new age thinking the act of observation causes these diffuse field to collapse into particles and become matter. Meaning your focus creates your reality. When mixing this piece I chose particular visuals and words that were relevant to the forming idea and then allowed the piece to evolve in a more random way by editing them together in real time to the soundtrack - in this way my mind was not the total controller of the result. The words have influences and phrases from mythologist Joseph Campbell and from Rumi's poem The Privileged Lovers
