'Myvanwy Gibson (Melbourne, Australia) uses panels of transparent plexiglass as a field for artistic actions. These surfaces allow the artist to take full advantage of the light and to play with the observation point of the spectator. What the viewer sees is never the actual place where the hand of the painter took place, it could be that it was on the reverse or only a projection. Through paintings, installations and exploiting the possibilities of digital, the artist reflects on the relationship between technology and painting, between the virtual and real, between the natural and the artificial.'

Queste superfici le permettono di sfruttare al massimo la luce e di giocare con il punto di osservazione del fruitore. Quello che lo spettatore vede non è mai il luogo reale dove è avvenuto il gesto pittorico, potrebbe essere il retro o solo una proiezione.
